HIGH-VOLTAGE BATTERY CHARGE CAPACITY:

The extent to which battery capacity decreases varies depending on external conditions, such as ambient temperature, and conditions of use, including driving habits and charging methods, as specified in the Owner’s Manual, available here. [INSERT LINK TO THE DOCUMENT, TO OPEN IN A POP-UP WINDOW]

This is an inherent characteristic of lithium-ion batteries and does not constitute a manufacturing defect unless the battery’s charge capacity falls below 70% before either of the following limits is reached:

  • Eight years from the vehicle delivery date; or 160,000 km for all Electric models.

TERMS, CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS OF THEHIGH-VOLTAGE BATTERY COMMERCIAL WARRANTY TERMS

The commercial warranty will become void in the following circumstances:

  • Failure to follow the charging procedures described in the Owner’s Manual. View them here: [INSERT LINK TO THE DOCUMENT, TO OPEN IN A POP-UP WINDOW]
  • Use of charging equipment that does not comply with the requirements set out in the Owner’s Manual. View the requirements here: [INSERT LINK TO THE DOCUMENT, TO OPEN IN A POP-UP WINDOW]
  • Failure to follow the WARNING and CAUTION instructions contained in the Owner’s Manual, available here: [INSERT LINK TO THE DOCUMENT, TO OPEN IN A POP-UP WINDOW]
  • * The main warnings and precautions are listed below.
  • Failure of other components related to the electric drivetrain after expiry of the 24-month, unlimited-mileage warranty.
  • Modification or dismantling of the vehicle by third parties outside the official Lancia authorised service network.
  • Repairs and/or scheduled maintenance not carried out to the required professional standard.
  • Failure to carry out scheduled maintenance.
  • Neglect, accidents, improper use, participation in motorsport events, repairs using non-original or non-equivalent spare parts, or further damage caused by continuing to use the vehicle after a fault has become evident.

(*) WARNING and CAUTION Instructions

  1. Do not charge the vehicle when the outside temperature is −30°C or below, as charging is likely to take longer and the charging equipment may be damaged.
  2. Do not leave the vehicle or charging cable in areas where the outside temperature is below −40°C, as they may be damaged.
  3. In very cold temperatures, the charging cable may become stiff.
  4. Do not apply excessive force, as this could damage the cable.
  5. Do not use generator sets.
  6. Do not charge the high-voltage battery using non-compliant or damaged sockets or charging cables.
  7. Avoid leaving the high-voltage battery at or close to a zero charge level for several days.
  8. Do not wait until the high-voltage battery level is low before charging it.
  9. Battery performance is optimal when it is charged regularly.Charging may take longer when the high-voltage battery temperature is particularly high or low.
  10. Always stop the electric motor by setting the ignition device to STOP before charging the high-voltage battery. Even when the motor is switched off, the cooling fan inside the engine compartment may start automatically during charging. Keep away from the cooling fan while it is operating.
  11. The safety and suitability of the domestic electrical system used for home charging are essential and are the customer’s responsibility.
  12. Do not connect the charging cable if dust and/or water is present in the vehicle’s charging socket.
  13. Stop charging immediately if you notice anything unusual, such as an odour or smoke.
  14. Replace the charging cable if its outer covering is damaged, to prevent the risk of electric shock.
  15. When connecting or disconnecting the charging cable, always hold the charging connector handle and charging plug.
  16. Pulling directly on the cable may disconnect or damage the internal conductors. The use of socket adapters or similar devices during charging is strictly prohibited.
  17. Never use the charging cable with an extension lead or multi-socket adapter.
  18. The Mode 2 charging cable is watertight and covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
  19. Do not use cables that have not been supplied by the manufacturer.
  20. Do not touch the charging connector or charging plug with wet hands.
  21. Do not charge the vehicle when the charging connector or plug is wet.
  22. Do not charge at a charging station during adverse weather conditions, such as thunderstorms.
  23. Do not use chemicals or solvents.
  24. Do not use chargers other than the designated charger.Avoid prolonged exposure of the charging cable to direct sunlight.
  25. Do not use the charging cable if any of its components are damaged.
  26. Never disconnect the charging cable from a domestic power socket or public charging station while charging is in progress. Always stop the charging process first, then disconnect the cable from the vehicle’s charging socket and subsequently from the domestic power socket or public charging station.
  27. The high-voltage battery must only be charged at the maximum permitted current, or at a lower current level in accordance with local and national recommendations for charging high-voltage batteries.
